Image Maps

An image map is a graphic with hot spots that are hyperlinks to other web pages.

Image maps are created by inserting the graphic and placing "hot spots" on it. The hot spots become links.
Move your cursor over Alaska, New York, or Florida. Notice that each of those stated will link to another web page or site.

To achieve this effect, first place the graphic on you page in FrontPage, then click on the graphic to select it. The drawing bar at the bottom of the screen appears. Choose the appropriate hot spot to create, rectangular, circular or polygonal. See the shapes at the bottom right of the drawing bar.

Add the shape to the space that you will want to create a hyperlink. Place the address in the window that pops up.

Note: You may need to fiddle around with the hot spots to get them just right. Select a hotspot and click delete on the keyboard to delete it.
Since you already know where you would like to send your visitors it is easy to just copy and paste the link into the hyperlink pop up window.

See Bellechasserental.com, a website that I created, for an image map example on the web.
