Instructions for importing PowerPoint to the web. From www.at.frontpage.com

To import your Power Point 2000 Presentation into your FrontPage web site:

Open your presentation in PowerPoint 2000
Select Save as Web Page from the FILE menu

Power Point will create a folder in the same location as the saved presentation file that contains the files necessary for importing the presentation into you web.  If your presentation is named "presentation.ppt", then your folder for importing will be named "presentation_files"

Now that you have created the folder with the files that you need for importing your presentation into your web, you are ready to import this folder into your FrontPage web"

Open your web in FrontPage
Select IMPORT from the FILE menu (click image for larger view)

Click the ADD FOLDER button in the Import dialog box (click image for larger view)

Navigate to the location in which the presentation folder has been saved
Highlight the folder you wish to import into your web and click the OPEN button at the bottom right of the Import Folder dialog box.
Click the OK button in the IMPORT dialog box and FrontPage will begin the import process.

Depending on the size of your presentation, the import process could take a few moments to complete.

Now that you have the folder and files for your presentation imported into your FrontPage web you can create a hyperlink to the presentation to be viewed by your site visitors:

Open the page in your web site that you want to have the link to view your online presentation.
Place your cursor on the page where you want your hyperlink to appear
In the folder list click the plus sign next to your presentation folder
drag either the "frame.htm" or "fullscreen.htm" file on your open page.

The "frame.htm" creates a frameset page with thumbnail versions of your slides in the left pane and the current slide in the main, right pane. Clicking the thumbnail slides on the left will open that slide into the right or main pane.
The "fullscreen.htm" creates a fullscreen page for your presentation. To view the next slide the viewer can either click on the slide or let the presentation advance the slides automatically.

Once you have your hyperlink on the page select SAVE from the FILE menu. You may now switch to preview mode and preview your presentation by clicking the hyperlink you just created on the page.

To change the text of the hyperlink you created:

Highlight the text you have as the hyperlink
right click and select HYPERLINK from the right click menu
In the hyperlink dialog box, at the top of the screen you will see an input box next to "Text to display": (click on the image for a larger view)

Type in the text you wish to use as the hyperlink
Save your page
